VIP-services At LAX

Tue May 23, 2006 11:41 pm

Hi guys,

does anyone know anything about VIP-treatment at LAX? Something like boarding the flight on an other way than regular?

We´re going to get a celeb from Los Angeles and we would like to see special care taking of him at LAX already. He will be on a LH-flight to FRA and the VIP-transfer in FRA is already been booked. So, I thought we could do the same at LAX.

I´ve seen a couple of "important" people at LAX while boarding a flight and I´ve noticed that they use regular ways but with a kind of an airline-attendant at their side who screams "make a hole, make a hole, make a hole" -- all the time. So, is that still the same or did any changes occur? Because I thought this is kind of strange, isn´t it?

Yes, this has got to be one of the more strange things I've read recently.

I am not sure about boarding, but I know you can get a special way out of customs when your celeb arrives back to LAX from FRA. They make it so they can exit through the transfer exit as opposed to the general exit to get a jump on paparazzi.

I'd imagine it to be more airline specific, than LAX specific. It also depends on who the celeb is. I don't see them cutting a D-list celebrity any breaks. AA for example has special "minders"/liasions for celebrities at various airports.

I worked at LAX for several years and I have guided many VIP'S to the plane and customs. May sure you contact the LAX counter directly. If you live in the LA area you might want to go to the airport and speak to the Station Manager. I know we always enjoyed early warning when a VIP was coming.
