Emirates A330 And B777 Routes...

Tue Jun 06, 2006 3:31 am

How would i go about finding what cities get these a/c in particular?

I realize some trips are substituted out with one or the other, but are there certain cities that get specific equipment for sure?

more interested in the definite A330 routes!

thanks

I once made a list of destinations served by each of EK's aircraft, but it's outdated now.

I'll look into updating it though.  Smile

KHI is served by the A330...been on it zextillions amount of times...

they also serve KHI with a 773, but I don't know if its the -ER version or now..

I don't think they were making too much money on this flight (pax wise), though they did delay the flight to fill it up with cargo...

EK seems to be using an awful lot of 777's on routes I never imagined would see a 777..
I mean, who would have thought 5 years ago BHX would see a regular 777-300 service ?!?!
I guess a lot of this is due to cargo requirements ?
Even GLA is seeing a 777.. they must have quite a few of these birds in their fleet no ?

CDG receives both 777 and 330 (the latter on the later flight). am looking into flights to Djakarta now from Dubai and they seem to also operate both types, a non stop Dubai Djakarta on A330 and with stops in Colombo and Singapore with 777.

Beirut is usually on a 332 as well though there have been the odd 777s flying the route too. I think in the summer they've upgraded one of the two dailies to a 772.

I've been on both the 772 and the 332 and I found that the 772 was miles better in everyway.

Around 35 now, with I think another 56 on order.

Cargo does indeed play a big part in EK's planning, look at their AKL and CHC flights, PAX loads can vary from very good to very average but they pay for the flights from OZ just through freight alone.

The new additional service to Milan MXP, which makes the route daily, is operated with an A330-200, in addition to the B777-300.
Rome FCO has daily 773 service.

The Sunday evening flight (the 2nd flight) was upgraded to a 772ER. All other flights are still on A332s.

However, I did once spot their A345 on approach 2 weeks ago. It was an equipment change.

They've also brought in the A343 and 773 a few times.

I`d like to the A345 in FRA as well. That would be the first A345 on schedule here. But at the time we only see the B773 and A343 daily.

Isn't that because of the fact that in the summer, Dubai is so hot and not that many people want to go and get completly and totally fried?

Hi i just travelled with EK from AMM-DXB and back. The AMM-DXB leg was served by a 777.. and the DXB-AMM leg was served by an A330. It seems that EK is sending both the 777 and A330 to amm depending on the availabilty of the aircraft!!
