I drove by YLW this afternoon and saw an Air Astana B757 sitting on the ramp in front of Kelowna FlightCraft. I didn't catch the reg. on it, but it did have winglets installed.
I checked the database and couldn't find any pictures of Air Astana B757's with winglets, is KFC installing them for the carrier? And does anyone know if and when anymore exotic birds are coming into town?
Quoting A340Spotter (Reply 2): Has the Dallas Mavs 757 had it's winglets installed and new colors applied? Left Zurich on June 26th bound for Kelowna for the work.
I just got back from Europe on July 12th, so I'm not sure about that one. I am driving by again later this week, but I would think that its already gone.
It would be nice if anyone knows when any interesting birds are scheduled to come in to YLW. So if anyone can get a hand on a list or something, please let me know!
I would also love to see a list, I drove by YLW up Old Vernon Rd yesterday and almost drove into the ditch trying to figuer out what carrier that 757 belongs to, now I can rest easy knowing whoes it is.
I hope I didnt miss the Mavs plane, i'm thinking I did, I would love to get out there and snap a photo if it hasnt arrived and left already.
Yes Dallas has come and gone, and the 757 on the ramp does not belong to Air Astana, it belongs to Fun Air, they just haven't painted it yet. I can't give you a list but keep your eyes open for the next few months in YLW you may see so very interesting birds fly in.
