American Ryder Cuppers...How Are They Travelling?

Mon Sep 18, 2006 7:26 am

Anybody know the travel plans for the American players. I would imagine they would be travelling as a team leaving from some centralized location. Any info is appreciated.

After a tournament in Akron a few weeks ago, a bunch of Ryder Cuppers hopped on a chartered EOS 757 from CLE for a few practice rounds in Ireland.

I wonder if Phil will take his G2 (N800PM) over, as of right now it is still in SAN.

Tiger Woods is already here! Well, ok, when I say ''here'' he's not in Ireland (although he could be now, but doubt it) yet cos he's in London! He attended the Chelsea V Liverpool game today and was all over the TV. I guess he was invited to every kind of party/dinner/social gathering taking place in London today!

He (and all the rest) will be here pretty soon though!

how is it that the us ryder cup team had so much luggage that it couldnt fit on a 767... im assuming its a 767 becuase i dont think that they have any different planes but could be wrong... there are 12 players a couple of captians and assistants, and maybe a few family... these 767s normally fly with 102 people thats a lot more people... anyone have any ideas?

I saw Rydercuppers on the news today deplaning via airstairs, and the engine and wing sequence visible looked a lot a 747s, but I guess given the light blueish colors it was probably the Maxjet 767.

You posted the wrong picture

'Luke Donald's girlfriend, Diane Antonopoulos joined at Heathrow by Henrik Stenson's partner Emma Loferen and Paul Casey's girlfriend Jocelyn Hefner'

Maxjet 767, eh, a bit of a step down from Concorde...and little chance of breaking the 8 mile put of whatever it was on the flight over

How's that not going to cause offense ?!?!?

I remember in the 80s the American team flew into BHX on Concorde for a Ryder cup at the Belfry, it spent the duration of the tournament parked up at Terminal 2 right next to the access road.

Does anybody know if the Americans are coming home ( with a good case of the red arse) on Maxjet? I would guess they will come back to Washington same as they departed from.

How will the Americans be travelling home? With their asses on a plate! rotfl
