Flying On The Last NW DC-10 Flt

I am thinking about non-reving on the last DC-10 flight in about a week. Does any one know how full the flight will be and do you think a lot if non-revs will be trying to get on this flight.

I know people have talked about this and know one really knew. Will there be anything special done on the flight. Other then just flying the last flight would it be worth the trip.

I've got a couple of friends booked in first on that flight. It's full. I'd say non-rev chances are almost nil. I looked into booking a ticket on that flight as well and there were only a handful of seats available in economy. First class only had about 3 seats available. And that was three weeks ago. I'm joking with my friends that their HNL-MSP flight will go mechanical and they'll have to take either an A330 or 757 home.

You may still be able to get a DC-10 flight in. All you have to do is join the military and you might get one flying for ATA in the future.  Smile

Currently, it's P2F0Y0, so, yeah, it's a full flight. There is a group of FlyerTalkers doing a get-together for the flight as well on the farewell tour.

Beware though, 98 has been consistently late recently...

It will probably Mx and they will send in 3 dc-9,s to replace it...lol
