During Christmas I took some time to look in the older JP Airline Fleet Lists in my stock. In the early 1990s it seems that Finnair at some point operated 5 DC-10s and 4 MD-11s at the same time. However in the mid 90s the DC-10s went quickly. What happened at that point - did Finnair reduce its network or were the DC-10s phased out slowly through various leases and therefore not actually operational in the Finnair network? Thanks for any info on this

AY had the DC-10 as their main type for leisure flights as the MD-11 took over the long haul routes, however they also had two examples of the A300 B4 for use around their leisure flight network, the type was operated by KarAir. In the mid 90's AY merged with KarAir and Finnaviation and started to phase out both the DC-10 and A300 as new 757's began to arrive, today the 757 is solely used for leisure flights within the Finnair network.
