Hey Guys
I was wondering if there was any chance of JetBlue trying to aquire the Delta Shuttle routes BOS-DCA? Do you think this would be possible. If UsAirways wins its battle against Delta it would have to get rid of one of the Shuttles...do you think B6 would try to get it, or even had a chance to take it over.
Also, can they bid to the creditors for that portion of the airline?
Just a random thought!

Oh yeah, absolutely. If that happened, B6 could put e190's here to serve their east coast hubs and keep the A320's at IAD for transcons.

If the US Airways/Delta merger goes through one of the Shuttles and significant slots and gates at LGA and DCA would have to be divested.
B6 would obviously be interested as would AA, CO, UAL, WN, FL etc..

I read somewhere that there were a couple slots opening up at DCA and never heard any more about it.

Which shuttle is better DAL or US? Delta has that convienient Marine terminal at LGA. I don't know about the other stations, but does one have more slots and gates than the other?

Not enough to run a shuttle. Spirit is giving up 2 slots because it will no longer fly DCA-DTW.

Well, I'd imagine that the DL shuttle would be sold, most likely. The US terminal at LGA is big enough to hold their combined operations without the Marine terminal. It would allow AA to move from the center pier to the south pier at DCA and DL/US to use most of center and north. Not sure which terminal in Boston would win - A or B.
From a route standpoint, the DL shuttle is a LGA to BOS & DCA shuttle. The US shuttle includes those routes, plus a DCA-BOS shuttle (DL only flies a pseudoshuddle with Comair on this route).
That's not to say which airplanes would be sold, however.
