I wonder if the three new 767 UFO's are freighters for NH and they're leasing these 762Fs in the interim...

Ironically, didn't most (if not all) of ABX's 762SFs formerly carry pax for ANA?

You are absolutely correct! Except for a few ex Delta ships those 767-200SF were once in the NH passenger fleet!

I suppose they are getting two WITH a SCD?!

Plus some being ex. TWA birds.

Good point! Its important to not loose from sight that most if not all B767-200PCs are used for DHL operations and have not received the SCD conversion, while ABX also have B767-200SFs or BDSF in its fleet.

When does this lease start? Is it a wet lease? Will the aircraft be on the japanese register and will they be repainted?

The deal has not been finalized yet. It is a wet-lease (essentially an ACMI agreement similar to the one ABX has with DHL, but on a much smaller scale). The company is talking about building an LAX crew base for this operation and then the ABX crews would be flown out of LAX to NRT on ANA's own airplanes. And, for the person above who asked if it was an interim until they could get more of their own freighters, the answer is no. It is really a preliminary agreement with the option of expansion. Supposedly, the agreement between ANA and ABX could become quite large in the coming years (thus the talk of an LAX crew base).
Good goes around!
