JetBlue Introduces Special Tail For 100th A320

Sat Feb 17, 2007 11:45 pm

In a bit of some brighter news for jet Blue it appears that a special tail scheme will be applied to their 100th A320.

There is a certain photo on a certain apposing site that would confirm this.

Hopefully a shot will appear on Airliners soon.

Whoa that's so cool! I love how the 100's are written on the tail but aren't exactly noticeable at first glance.

Very nice tail. I think they should keep that design permanently.

Great tail scheme for the 100th Airbus!

I agree, that looks awesome! Definitely my fave jetBlue tail design.

They probably will. It isn't anything like "75th anniversary" where after a while the design becomes outdated. Over the years, this plane will still be their 100th A320 delivered.

The thing is that this one tail can only be used on that one aircraft - unless it's also used on the 100th E190.

I really think that a whole new tail should be introduced for 2007.

AFAIK, B6 had an order for 100 A320s; they reportedly deferred some deliveries. Did the delivery pace pick up and they are ready to take their 100th A320?

BTW, that tail reminds me of Pakistan International's 777s!

When I was hired a year ago, we already had (I believe) 90 A320s, or somewhere near that number (89/91). Since then, we've taken delivery of a few more (I recall seeing tail numbers N633JB onwards) after I joined the crew. So, it wouldn't be all too surprising that we're about to take delivery of the 100th 320. Though I think we skipped a couple numbers, we're up to N647JB. Keep in mind that, though deliveries were deferred, we are still taking 320s this year, at a reduced rate.

i love the new design. jetBlue A320s are so awesome. Inside and out .

I hope everyone can move on from all the mishaps at B6 this month. it would be a shame to see such a great developed airline that is really better then the rest, to go down the drain.

The real 100th A320 of Jetblue is MSN 2970t(N648JB), but Jetblue has sold five of it's A320 to BlueWings of Germany.
At the moment they have 99 ships in service.

Not special, but new design, tail to me. This one now my favorite jetBlue tail.  smile

Nice to view various tail designs on their planes. Typical jetBlue.

Given the events of the past week, are you sure the tail isn't going to be between its legs?  Big grin

Will it be the 100'th A320 delivered or 100'th A320 in B6 fleet? This wouldn't mean same thing as they have sold several aircraft last year.

WOW!!! That looks GREAT!!!!

I like how B6 isn't the same ol' boring airline. They add spice to everything. and just when you think they couldn't get anymore creative, they always seem to introduce something else to impress us. WAY TO GO!!

It is the 105th A320 delivered to B6 - but after the sale of five A320 to Bluewings it would be the 100th A320 in the fleet.

Hey
I was one of the stranded passengers....how can i make a name suggestion to them. I know employee's ususal name them-but i think it would be awesome to have a plane named by a passenger about about the weather related issues.....they can roll it out with the new "bill of rights"
