XJT inflight has just published some informational letters regarding ExpressJet dba jetBlue Airways and one of the things mentioned was DO NOT WEAR YOUR CONTINENTAL EXPRESS WINGS. made me giggle a bit. Sounds like it will be interesting to say the least.

LOL!!! For ExpressJet to get this says a lot about its good reputation. So, it appears that JFK spotters will get a chance to see the AquaFresh jets.  Smile

JetBlue is the new PeoplExpress circa 1986

Such an original post, they are nothing alike, did people even last as long as B6 has been flying?

This is coming together very quickly. The trips will be flown by ALL ExpressJet pilots, not just charter. The aircraft are 4 E145LR aircraft. No XM radio. The first flights should begin on tomorrow (March 8th), and last for approximately 45 days. Crews will be deadheaded by air from IAH to JFK or BOS, or from EWR by ground to JFK to start the trips. I think the cities affected are BUF, CMH, RIC, and IAD. As I said before this is probably the quickest I could imagine anything coming together. I assume it will also be very high profile with all the media coverage B6 has been getting. We shall see how it goes......

will the flights be replaced 1:1 or 2:1? That would be cool for BUF, CMH, RIC, and IAD spotters to see the new XJET aircraft in flight before the original independent cities..

They will be flying at RIC. They will be using two aircraft for each flight?

And if they would have done this, then PIT, CMH, other E90 start-up stations would never have happened... I don't think B6 would've put A319s on PIT or CMH flights. They're having a hard time with PIT with the E90s, only half-full...

On that note, how's B6 doing at CMH? Anybody know? I haven't heard anything.

CMH has been seeing some really descent loads! The city is really starting to show it's potiental for us. I have seen loads in the high 70s and some in the low 30s. It all depends on the day.

I think they are 2:1 for the most part. One aircraft will take off about 30 minutes behind the other aircraft.

Did you check any of them last week? Ever since the meltdown back in Feb, we have been booked solid. Today is the 1st day in almost a 2 straight weeks we have been under 50%  Smile

Probably because it's Wednesday...

It seems that CMH is really picking up, as is PIT (finally!). HOU, now an E190 station, is also seeing a much higher LF. BNA is probably the lowest of them all.
