maybe we can use 9MMAR trick to dress like a farmer working his fields next to the airoprt eheheheh then loiter into the airport grounds claiming we are looking for some lost goats !!!

This trick only applicable at airports such as PNK, with no perimeter fencing and is surrounded by farm lands and villages.  tongue

ThaiA345...
GMF is not a problem on organized visits... what you can photograph there depends on who's taking you around, but with several friends and several organized trips, the really interesting stuff next to WC1 & WC2 aren't allowed to be shot, while the widebodies next to SP1/2 are allowed.

In the past, on the runway side you can actually walk into the inside of the perimeter fence (The Buffer Zone, separated from the core zone by a drainage ditch)... but today, can't do that anymore. The holes to go into the buffer zone has been covered... and even goats get chased and sent out of the buffer zone.

The stuff in GMF is in the center zone perimeter... so dressing like a farmer in the middle of the airport grounds won't work, and it's alongside the western access road, which is supposed to be not for public access. Trying to go through the zone in a car is do-able, show them some form of airline ID or airport ID from other airports or even expired ones will do the trick, BUT, stopping there and walking along that road (except in front of Garuda Ops) will surely attract security and/or police.

Might aswell go to some of the airports in Papua, you can walk on the runway or even play football on it... But police will make sure you're off the runway when an airplane arrives/departs (with a siren as a forewarning). I've almost gone around there because ppl playing football didn't shove off until the plane flared... If they didn't by the time you touchdown, it's a touch-and-go...

OK, I think it's time for Part 2 soon... *let me do a summary to start the next one...*

In Biak there is a football pitch by the side of the runway (within the perimiter fence) with goal posts. Many locals were kicking a ball around or just sitting watching the planes come and go (by planes I mean one 732 and one Twin Otter).

Do they have a differing pitch throughout the aircraft? I'm sure the seats at the front have more legroom!

I was sitting in row 6. It looked like all the Economy seats to that point had the same tiny seat pitch. Don't know about farther back. I was afraid if I got up I might not be able to get back in the seat.
