Attn YLW Spotters!

There is a 767 on its way to Kelowna right now, you can track it from this link http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N767AT
It should be landing around 1:45pm. I won't be able to be there but hopefully someone can make it down there and get some pictures of it landing.

Figures, I start work at 1:30 .... grrr! So, this should be the first 767 for YLW then. On her way to KFC I'm assuming?

We are here! Presenting the newest addition to the Private Charter owned by the Dallas Mavericks Ownership Group. This aircraft is in for some mods and will be entering into service later this year to complement our B757-200W.

HAHA wow I wish you guys let me know sooner, I was just down in Dallas to go see game 3 of the Canucks-Stars play off series, then had to fly DFW-YYZ-YEG-YLW, would have been nice to fly in this "Ultimate" B767 rather then AC's older 762.

Nope Different one, The ex-Astana plane is in the Hangar right now getting some work done and should be leaving in about 2-3 months from now.

Didn't the original 2 Pacific Western 762's used to fly into YLW back in 83/84, before they were sold to AC? I thought one 762 route was YYC-YLW-YVR. Granted, even if true, it was a long time ago.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

PWA was certain they were to receive the rights to fly transcons, hence the purchase of the aircraft. By the time they arrived, it was apparent that was not going to happen. They didn't hang around PWA long!

The PW 762s also operated SEA-YVR for a while, I flew on once on that sector. I think it was the first sector of a flight that continued to YYC-YXE-YWG. I'm almost certain they also served YXE with the 762 as a stop between YYC and YWG.

YLW's runway was extended in 1990, before then it was only 5500 feet, that would have been quite a sight ...  Big grin

Just read about this one in the Vancouver Province today. Looks like a very nice aircraft! If I am up in Kelowna in the next month or so I will certainly have to stop by and try to get some pics.
