LH CRJ 100/200/700/900 Flights

Tue May 22, 2007 9:43 pm

Goodday fellow A.nutters / Lunatics

Your kind help is required for the following trip .

Next month, June 12th to be precise, i am planning to try and fly on a Lufthansa CRJ 100,200,700 & 900 all in one day.... just for fun ...
But at present, i seem to be having a bit of bother trying to work out the route.
I will be starting off at LHR and plan to finish at LHR too , and i guess if all the other flying is done internally in Germany rather than throughtout europe, this will save time & hassle with customs etc...

your help is very very much wanted / needed / apprieciated....

As most of the EU is part of shengen, this shouldn't pose any problem with customs or immigration.

I'd also recommend to not focus on domestic travel, use Schengen flights....and write a trip report  Smile

ok, I'll jump on that  Smile

have to admit, hard job... this took me ~ 90 minutes but was the best I could find.

MINUS: end in DRS instead of LON.

technically, there are no CRJ 100s anymore in the LH fleet, either at CLH or EW. all dash 100s were converted into dash 200s.

you would have to take at least one flight into/out of MUC as this is the only base of CRJ 900s.

and also, on sidenote, you are feeling CRJ 100s/700s just for fun? the CRJ 900s, i could understand (very nice interiors), but the smaller ones?  Wink enjoy!
If only pure sweetness was offered, why's this bitter taste left in my mouth.

HELLO AGAIN,

I must admit this is proving harder than i thought.....

Thanks to Ben who spent an hour and a half on it, but i really do need to start & finish in LHR.

I thought a good start would be LH4723 LHR-FRA arriving at 0855, then onwards and upwards from there......

even returning from FRA on LH4744 leaving at 2135.....

this then gives me around 12 hours to try and accomplish my mission.....

thanks in advance ...

OK, here we go with mine... 30 minutes of searching the timetable at my desktop.
You must travel on day 3 (Wednesday).

LHR-STR LH4781 0820-1055 CR7
STR-CDG LH4304 1435-1555 CR1
CDG-MUC LH4247 1710-1845 CR9
MUC-LHR LH4764 1905-2005 320

Transfer at MUC is a little short, but you might make it of course! After sitting in aircrafts the whole day, some running through a terminal is good for you  Wink

Cheers,
Eric

That means going through immigration at the rush hour .... maybe just book that later MUC-LHR flight (dep 2010).

True...
I saw there's even a 2115-2245 flight MUC-LHR (day 1 being CR7, other days A319).

Hello again..

So now a few brave souls have tried to concoct an intinary for me.,you can appriciate how goddanm difficult it is..

thanks to Ben...

BA 964 LHR 07:55 HAM 10:25 319
LH/CL 130 HAM 11:30 NUE 12:30 CR7
LH/EW 4332 NUE 14:00 CDG 15:25 CR2
LH/CL 4253 CDG 19:05 MUC 20:40 CR1
LH/CL 1076 MUC 21:25 DRS 22:25 CR9

however, i really must end up back at LHR

thanks to DALCE

LH 4765 / 12 LHR-MUC 07.25 - 10.10 320
LH 4694 / 12 MUC-AMS 11.05 - 12.35 CR9
LH 4665 / 12 AMS-HAM 16.00 - 17.00 CR1
LH 4872 / 12 HAM-MAN 18.10 - 18.50 CR7
BD 595 / 12 MAN-LHR 20.40 - 21.45 319

except i seem to be missing the 200 version....

or do i....????

what's the difference between a 100 & 200...?
why are there different designations....????

Thanks to Airbuseric

LHR-STR LH4781 0820-1055 CR7
STR-CDG LH4304 1435-1555 CR1
CDG-MUC LH4247 1710-1845 CR9
MUC-LHR LH4764 1905-2005 320

again no 200, and a twenty minuite ground time at MUC...is that feasible....?

I have come up with one of my own, but again it misses out the 200, but here it is

LHR-FRA LH4743 0625-0855 AB6
FRA-CGN LH1250 0920-1000 CR7
CGN-TXL LH273 1110-1210 CR1
TXL-MUC LH223 1305-1410 32S
MUC-AMS LH4698 1505-1635 CR9
AMS-BRU KL1731 1730-1825 F50
BRU-LHR BA399 1915-1930 319

THE PROBLEM WITH MY CHOICE IS 2 FOLD...

No 200, and the connection after the first flight into FRA is decidedly dodgy....
if that goes t*ts up, the whole day does..

so as you can see...... although i'm nearly there... just not quite..

stll requiring help...

yours

Hi again,

there seems to be a 2115 departure on LH MUC-LHR. If you take that one, you will be safe under normal circumstances.

As far as I know it's only a software update for the engines to increase efficency.

The only difference is the engines ( or their software ), LH does only operate the -200's but are all designated as CR1.
You will not find a CR2 scheduled within the LH network.

If you pick my route you avoid tranferring in FRA which can take some time.
But you route via BRU seems quite interesting aswell Big grin

Ok gents,

the day is set...

LHR-STR LH4781 0820-1055 CR7
STRCDG LH4304 1435-1555 CR1
CDG-MUC LH4247 1710-1845 CR9
MUC-FRA LH0983 1930-2035 AB6
FRA-LHR LH4744 2135-2210 AB6

As there is no difference between a 100 & a 200, except some engine software, i will not be missing out.

the above gets the flights i want, plus ends the day with 2 widebody sectors on short hops...always good fun.

As you can see, i'm at STR for around 3 1/2 hours , so anybody in the area that day fancys a spot of lunch and a beer, feel free to get in touch....

DALCE,
the reason i didn't choose your routing was the fact i had 3 1/2 hours in AMS , and with the city only 20 mins away by train,....... i could easily have given up on the rest of the day ... if you know what i mean.

Anybody who feels they can fine tweak the routings , go ahead and give it a shot, and likewise, anybody who feels like coming along for the day...you more than welcome.
BTW, all flying will be non-rev...
wish me luck...
thanks

Hi Tugmaster,

Watch out as your route will not consist of a CR9 , LH 4247 / 12 jun is scheduled as a 737-500.
I can imagine that you want to avoid spending some hours in AMS Big grin

Thats correct. The CRJ-100 has CF34-3A1 engines, the CRJ-200 has CF34-3B1 engines. They are essentially the same aircraft.
