Amazing Jet Airways 737/777 Video

Mon May 28, 2007 9:49 am

Check out this video of Jet Airways new 777. It really shows how beautiful the 777 is...and showcases the World-Class airline Jet Airways has become.

This has been posted before, but for those that haven't seen it - you need to use IE (not FireFox) to see it.

Too bad they couldn't have used real video of the aircraft and not computer generated models. Though yes, it is quite a pleasing video. Great music and shots of the planes, unfortunately they don't look very real. But then again, your average Joe probably wouldn't notice.

Excellent music, great video, I am starting to like their new livery after this video. IMO, Jet Airways in the best airline of India, heads and shoulders above Air India, or the other domestic carriers.

Wow I wish my Flight Simulator looked like that  Wink Anyway nice video but real planes would be better.
But I have a new thing to do on my things to do list. Fly First Class on Jet Airways!

Nice video. Did anyone notice that after the plane landed and began to taxi to the ramp that they still had the thrust reversers open?

Err...that was a one-off situation involving AI and IC and the unbeatable Govt. of India machinery....9W is a private airline and has nothing to do with that stuff....

That would be because she's a 772ER (only has four doors instead of the five of a 773ER).

Since Jet doesn't fly the 777-200, I can only hazard guess that the production company just had a 772 CG model or that they and Jet's marketing department don't know the difference - or don't care.

Interesting how they show their competitors in that video.

It's also a 772ER with Trents.
Types flown: B738, B772ER, B773, B77W, B744, A310, A320, A321, A332, A333, A343, A388

Yea I liked that too, is this for trying to compare themselves to this airlines which are the greatests? or to make it look more realistic? maybe both

Ha,
That video's funny

firstly they used a 772ER not a 77W

Secondly at the end when the aircraft is taxiing, watch the flaps, they go up and down.  rotfl

thirdly the thrust reversers were deployed while the aircraft was taxiing

and lastly the outer allerons are drooped after landing

But if you're not bothered about that stuff then the video is pretty good for 9W

Its for the first time an Indian Private airline has done some thing like this. So it can be taken in a good stride.

Also, in the real aircraft, there are a lot of plugged windows in the forward section. The cg model shows no plugged windows.

Nice video but I still think Jet Airways is a dumb name for an airline, it doesnt evoke anything at all. It's like buying generic stuff at the grocery store. In a world as brand conscious as ours, the name Jet Airways is dull.

That is interesting, they are trying to image themselves with BA, EK and SQ.
AirIndia or any other Indian Airline is not even glimpsly showed.

There is an LY 767 in the background, that can be seen after the 9W 772 landed and is taxiing.

Maybe INDIAN JET Airways would have been more befitting.

Yes, it is a dumb name, but its also the kind of name that most people are unlikely to forget. Plus, the name doesn't evoke anything Indian, which given how Air India has over the last 20 years massacred the international reputation of Indian carriers is a pretty clever move.

Indeed.....

Yes, they really wanna box themselves with the new kids on the intercon-block (EK etc.) as well as old high-standard airlines like SQ... Instead of just a video with a Jet T7 landing in LHR and parking next to EK; BA etc., it would be funny if they also made a video of a T7 touching down on the bumpy runway of BOM, and parking in a crowd of lovely old Air India 310s... bless them!  Smile

I'm impressed by what 9W has become in recent years, indeed - but this video does not impress me at all to be honest.

Agree with you guys that Jet Airways isn't the brightest of names... particularly for an airline with a lot of turboprops..! But what's going on with their abbreviation: 9W!?!?!?! How drunk were the guys at IATA when they came up with that????

ANyways, only flown 9W once, GOI-BOM in December; lovely legroom, lovely food, excellent service (and this was Y; wonder what their J is like.... not to speak of their new F!!)...

It seems to be very difficult to look out the window in Premiere Class. I'd get a crick in my neck. I guess I'll just have to fly First class, oh well.

They should.Probably awaiting a Major check to do the paint job.But whats surprising is why the Animation did not show the new livery for the B737NGs.
