Thanks Felipe.

Are the signs pretty easy to follow? Last time I ended up in Linha Amarela in some tunnel LOL! I hope I get it right this time. MSN also has similiar directions going via BR101 (Ave Brasil). Is that easier?

Valeu!!!

In fact now because of the Pan American Games, yes.

Easy to go thru Linha Vermelha (Red Line).

Hey Guys, I'm just fearfull of the "U-turn" you'll have to do to take Linha Vermelha North bound. Maybe that's the reason why last time Tonytifao ended up in Linha Amarela, it can be quite confusing.

Anyway Tonytifao, you need to take Linha Vermelha North bound, you can follow the signs leading you to Petrópolis. I guess you know your way from there, right?

He just has to take the exit out of Linha Vermelha, take return access under the bridge on the left. It's not that easy at start, but with the map he is prepared for it.

Yes it is. Police coverage is really effective nowadays at Linha Vermelha. I use to travel on the early morning JJ GIG to JFK flight, leaving my dad's house by 4:50 and never face problems in 4 different occasions.

I guess it must say "Retorno", "Duque de Caxias" or "São Paulo", but I don't really know. If you are not travelling this week, I can check it for you, since I'm driving my grandma to the airport next week.

It is safe alright. Actually, I think that part you are driving through always has been.

Hey Guys.... thanks for all the help. It's likely I won't make it to Rio de Janeiro. AA MCO-MIA 1979 is having engine problem, something leaking! Flight is canceled  Sad

Going to miss a nice Formatura  Smile
