Another cool intra-European fifth freedom sector. Although since it's only a 767, I won't be queueing up for it. I flew the very last AMS-CDG Varig flight to get one last waltz with the Scud, aka MD11, in Jan 2006. Lovely trip, incredibly short flight time but it was such a thrill to hear that third engine above my head crank up. And it gave me a reason to spend a lovely day in Paris the next day before my easyJet 737 home. Thank you Varig, even though your inflight service is appalling, I had a great time with you!

There is to little down time for any of these flights:

CDG: 1h 10m
FCO: 1h 35m
CDG: 1h 05m

The above worries me, I think on-time performance will be very hard to realize..

I don't think they worry much about that. The aircraft utilization must be like that until new aircraft arrives, since they have to operate all the frequencies they can before the 6 months deadline of inactivity. Next year they will get more frames and CDG and FCO will get dedicated flights and probably more down time.

The information I have is that the traffic rights expire November 15th (not sure about the exact date, but it's November alright), but the frames for LHR arrive only in December. I don't know how they are managing that. The fact is that they could discontinue one of both daily flights to Frankfurt for one month, start LHR and restart the second daily flight to FRA, when the frames arrive. They could also postpone the MAD flight, since they got now 21 frequencies to Spain. They would lose 7 frequencies, but 14 are enough.

RG and LH currently figures in the service GRU-FRA.
The situation for CDG looks different: RG will find up to four daily GRU-CDG served by AF and JJ.
Regards.

Absolutely no problem in turning a B763ER around in those times. CDG is a mere transit stop, and the actual turn around at FCO should be easily achievable. There is, however, no buffer to absorb any delays that might occur. But the turn around times as such shouldn't be a problem. The days when airlines scheduled a minimum 2 hour turn around for widebody equipment have long gone, and handling companies at airports around the world claim they will turn around your full inbound B744 into a full outbound B744 in anywhere between 75 and 105 minutes. Quite obviously, a B763ER should be turned around faster.

C010T3, nice news, thanks for sharing. But will be a hard time for RG as CDG is a very competitive market with now 7 (by the end of October will be 8 daily flights).

LHR is expected for the second week of December. To be announced by the end of October, first week of November.

MAD will begin first, probably by October or November, to be defined.
