The other day it was pointed out that CM will resume PTY-SJO-GUA.
CM tends to make nonstops in their operations from PTY, but in Central America the situation is different in many ways:

I totally forgot about it, but did LCE and RTB suffer major damage from the Hurricane which hit Honduras a couple of weeks ago? How about Kingsman Bluff (Puerto Cabezas) airport in Nicaragua?

Hurricane hit Nicaragua..not honduras..so those locations situated on the far side of the general impact area are probably untouched.

Puerto Cabezas was prett much hit directly so I assume there was a fair bit of damage there.

If it was as easy as that, there are a lot of people CM could have authorities arrest, both foreign and local. Beacuse Snaiks is from Panama, I'm sure he'd know where many of those 70 or so potentially arrested individuals hang around.

Is this in addition to their MEX-PTY-(CCS that hasn't started) or will it replace this flight since it doesn't seem like they have gotten the fight freedom rights.

http://www.prensa.com/hoy/negocios/1127445.html

My jaw hit the floor when I saw this, obviously some idiot reporter from the AP misunderstood the GM for delta in Honduras and quoted her as saying that the service would be SAP-Shanghai instead of saying that SAP would now be connected to Shanghai through Atlanta thanks to the new route.

IDIOTS

Also, CM has moved to the South Terminal in MIA next to CO and AM ticket counters and Gates

CM already has the approval, the Court ruled on favor of CM, the only thing that is delaying it is the shortage of pilots.

The shortage of pilots also would require that some frequencies will be reduced for a period until the pilots currently on training would join CM, is expected that the shortage of pilots would be resolved in about a year.

the Court ruled on favor of CM

And then TA filed a recurso de revocatoria, which is basically an appeal requesting reversal of the court’s own decision. Check it out...

26/04/2007 - ESCRITO FIRMADO POR EL DR. ROBERTO OLIVA, APODERADO DE TACA INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES, S.A., POR EL QUE SOLICITA SE REVOQUE LO DISPUESTO EN EL NUMERAL 2) DE LA PARTE RESOLUTIVA DE LA RPOVIDENCIA EMITIDA POR ESTA HONORABLE SALA, EL DÍA 24 DE LOS CORRIENTES.

Source: Salvadoran Supreme Court's website regarding the Recurso de Amparo filed by TACA INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES, S.A. against the DIRECTOR EJECUTIVO DE LA AUTORIDAD DE AVIACIÓN CIVIL before the high court's SALA DE LO CONSTITUCIONAL. Docket #653-2005.

The ruling you mentioned relates solely to the medida cautelar (basically a precautionary measure) imposed upon CM in December 2005 to temporarily put off its planned 2nd daily while the court hears TA's recurso de amparo, which the court hasn't yet ruled on.

MX is keeping their regular 2x daily MEX-GUA, 1x daily MEX-SJO and 1x daily MEX-PTY.
MX had added one MEX-SJO during the weekends, and it will be modify as previously shown.
Related to Panama City, how unattractive would be the PTY-SJO-GUA-MEX considering the rest of the nonstop covering PTY-MEX and vice versa.
It was pointed out some weeks ago that CM was denied to add a third PTY-MEX and suddenly MX is increasing frequencies there.
The daily MX MEX-PTY will continue grounded almost 18 hours at PTY tarmac overnight.

It's really hard to imagine if someday will happen regular nonstops from Central America to Asia...
Speaking about operations to Asia, I can almost remember Eva Air flying PTY-LAX-Taiwan with 744 in the late 90s.

So could CM operate the second frequency?, at least untill the Court has the final ruling?

Not until the Salvadoran Supreme Court resolve Mr. Oliva's request [reply 119].
