Snapshot: United @ ORD

Here it is a snap shot of United at ORD. For this snap shot I used August 28 and January 7. There was a reduction of 35 flights through reduced frequency or closing of routes. There were 15 addition flights through increased frequency or opening of new route. This resulted in a net loss of 20 using August 28 and January 7 dates. I may have missed a few seasonal markets if so please let me know.

In fairness I will go back and recheck American schedule on January 7 to if there are further reductions in flights after the holidays.

I would not take this as United pulling down ORD operations and take it as just seasonal adjustments.

For what ever reason when I copied this chart into A net it ran everything together and I just didn't feel like spending the time to try and correct the spaceing issue. I do appolgise.

I think it would make more sense to compare schedules from the same season year over year. Comparing schedules from different seasons mixes seasonal changes with overall trends.

It includes all regional carriers. By mainline alone, DL at ATL and AA at DFW both have around 515-530 daily mainline departures, the most of any hub airports for mainline service. UA at ORD has around 250 mainline flights.

Sad to see the E70 leaving SDF. I have flown that aircraft a few times up to ORD and I always enjoy it.

As a staunch hater of the CRJ I'll try to only get on ERJ flights from now on.

Last statistics I saw (maybe a year ago) were around 375-425 daily UA/UX flights, about 180 of those being UA mainline.
