Our Revered Daley

Isn't that the truth. I was once at a Democratic Party function in Chicago and a state senator began to list off the top Democrats in the state, in descending order, and it went "Mayor Daley, Senator Durbin, Senator Obama, Governor Blagojavic."

While I love that man for his wonderful renovation to midway and the iron knuckles expansion of O'Hare (my favorite airport), bulldozing Meigs field in the middle of the night is not my favorite one of his calls.

Years back a small British airline copied 'USAir' and re-styled itself (at vast expense) as 'AirUK.'

As I recall, it was only a matter of hours before it became universally-known as 'Air-Yuck!' One of the best (or worst) marketing 'own goals' ever....
