Copa Airlines is upgrading MVD to 6x, now effective.
Daily except on Sundays.
I guess they are doing well, hopefully this will be daily for the summer.

Yes.
CM wants to stay one step forward due the new LIM-MVD starting on October 21th.
Both airlines are capable to carry passengers from Central America, South America (easier on TA), the Caribbean and even North America to Uruguay.
TA is starting service to MVD with four flights a week as far as I know.

CM could be introducing a new market in Uruguay due to passengers moving from Central America altogether with other geographical zones.
Some carriers flying from MVD such as PU, AR and LA are not focusing to the area pointed out.

You're right, only CM, because they operate almost every Central American capital, but AA has a strong network there so a MVD-MIA- Central America its a good one too, but both CM and TA offers a more direct service to Central America.
Also Im not sure if this flight number TA041 which is the LIM-MVD originates somewhere in Central America but connections must be fast anyways though.

AA flies MVD-EZE-MIA sometimes. Immediate connections look extremely hard adding the following backtrack to Central America.

Well, I cannot give you a reliable answer...
TA041 will be a flight likely operated by TACA PERU and originates purely as a new schedule operation.
Both early SAL-LIM and SJO-LIM have been recently deploying with 319.
By the way, the 319 is used for UIO-LIM and GRU-LIM arriving onward 20:00.
Maybe some of them will be utilized to continue the track to Uruguay or TA may vary some of their current schedules.
I am just analyzing how could it operate...
