Unusual Flight Into IWA

Sat Sep 08, 2007 10:11 am

I was just in my back yard down in Queen Creek and observed a B733 on final into IWA. I checked it out on FlightAware and it said that it was Piedmont Aviation Services, Inc. D/B/A Pace Airlines #4373 from MGGT. Is this a charter? FlightAware has the same flight listed yesterday too.

It can't be the Colorado Buff's entry into town since they charter a F9 319 into PHX.

That would then be the 734, not the 733. The 734 is a frequent visitor to IWA among its M88's.

Yeah, they're contracted occasionally to fill in. FBO staffer mentioned them today saying they should be here a while, perhaps as long as 60 days. Which would be interesting seeing as how if they were, that would last until Allegiant gets started in late October. Watch which aircraft you board!

Im pretty sure its easy to figure out which aircraft to board because the DOJ aircraft are completely white on the 734's. Some M88's have old airline liveries left on them, except the titles removed. I know that they have an old USAir M88 in the bare metal livery, without the titles of course.
