A split within one fleet-type order or a split between wide- and narrow-body replacements?

or B787-3/-9 and A350-900/-1000. They can't go with just one type. Next narrow-body order will go to Embraer I guess (E-195).

They said numerous times that the -3 is not an option as well as the -8. I think there will be no orders for E-Jets now, they will wait and see how they will perform in every day service. Any idea when we will see the first E-Jet for Cityline/LH Regional ?

Boeing needs to launch the 787-10 first. LH will probably not go for the "one-size-fits-all" 789 option. And they need the A350-1000, otherwise there will be a hole between the 747-8I and the 789 or A359.

Yes, sometimes it is better to work in procurement than in marketing.

Besides, the 787-10 would be a nice plane, but the other versions need to work first.

Yes, they just ordered them this year, would be strange if they got any in 2008. But I can't wait to see them at TXL.

I am pretty sure that LX will receive the A350 and will remain an all Airbus fleet except for the regional fleet of Swiss European, which will mostlikely be repalced with Embraers. I would also gues that LH will go for the A350 for themselves as the german government will sure put some preasure on them, however it could be likely that the order will be split and also some B787's will be added to the fleet. BTW: will the cockpit crew of the B748's be able to fly the B787's and vice versa?
