As sophisticated as they are, someone could really put an explosive device into a vehicle remote. If McGiver and 007 can do it, why not someone who secretly belongs to Al Quida? This is merely the post 9/11 paranoia people must deal with in relationship to flight security.  twocents

Explosives can be triggered with a wireless laptop or cellphone too. Are we seeing increased scrutiny with respect to those? More needless insanity.  banghead

Keep in mind you must remove your laptop from its case or your roller-board before you have them go through the X-Ray machine. This is part of the proceedure for that one.

Psychic telepathy can ignite things. Do we not let psychics onto airplanes? How will Uri Geller get around?

I think some TSA big shot has been playing GTA on PS2 recently, and had this great insight!

Yay, more idiotic fear mongering of the general public to make it look like the TSA actually deserves to continue to exist.

Absolutely pathetic. Any device that sends out an electronic signal could be used in the described manner. Shhhh!! Oh noes, better seize all the PSPs and DSs!

And cell phones. Any "sensible" interpretation of this policy means that the TSA has decided that a small percentage of air travelers will not get secondary screenings.

It says they arrested two men at a "South Carolina airport". Anyone know which airport CNN's referring to?
