New AI 744: What Name?

Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:17 pm

On skyliners there is a photo of Air India latest 747-400, the first in new livery, registered VT-AIS. Who can tell me what name this aircraft has been given?
I must say, I like that new, somewhat excentric, livery more and more. The yellow-golden wheel on red looks fantastic.

Does anyone know the registrations of the 6 owned AI 744's? Is VT-AIS owned or leased?

So only 2 leased a/c remain (3 if VT-AIS is leased)?? What are the registration #'s for the former two??

Also are any of these 744 combi's?? Doesn't LAX see a combi or does it now get a full pax version?

Thanks in advance!!

Leased from MH for a year, will allow refurbishment of owned 744 fleet
