NW 747-400 WBC Seats

Mon Nov 05, 2007 5:17 pm

Does anyone know if all or most of the 747 fleet has been reconfigured with the new WBC seats. Im flying out on the 11th of November on flt 9 from HNL to NRT.and was hoping that i get the new WBC. I was acutally hoping to take flt 21 the A330 but that flight was old out in Business class. Many thanks and sorry if this has been already posted. I looked and somone had posted something about the Refit of the WBC class seats in 2004 But it didnt really say if all the a/c were reonfigured.

I believe that all of the 744 fleet has the new (now a few years old already) seats.

I believe that all NW aircraft are now equiped with the new WBC. Only the DC-10s and B747-200s B747-400s had the old ones, The B744s were upgraded and as for the B747-200s and DC-10s and when they retired so did the old WBC seats.

Correct, all the 744's have the new WBC seats.

Yep. I think the 752 has slightly different seats, though. Not so sure about that, but with the DC-10 and 742 gone, the 744 and A330 are it, and they have the new WBC seats.

This is true. The seat is more manual and less electric. It is slightly wider then the A330/B744 seat and has a slightly lower angle (not angled lie flat more like a modified Z)

The B752 seat is still acceptable. Has a 59-60" seat pitch

I don't seem to find the new WBC seats on the B752, does anyone have a pic to share?
