Why No Multi-city Booking On AF Website?

Sun Nov 11, 2007 7:09 pm

I was trying to price out a PHL-MAD/AGP-PHL itinerary on Air France and I have been monitoring the price for the last couple of weeks. Now however, to my surprise, you can only book round trip or one-way tickets. Did they change the way you book multi-city itineraries or they did away with it all together?

Thats interesting because on the UK Air France site you can pick multiple destinations by clicking on more options on the flight selection window and tghen clicking multiple destinations. Could not fnid the same thing on the US site though,

it's not possible on the French site too (it has always been the case). You need to call the reservation center

True, and I still can't understand why. You can do it with KLM for years, and AF lags behind. If anyone have a explanation, it will light my way!

Well, I don't know about this but I know that AF does not have electronic tickets yet if you buy a ticket for a flight beginning in Spain. They send you by post all the stuff, which is a potential source of problems (what if the envelope gets lost?) and somehow weird (well, we live in the XXI century...). This and other small details make me wonder if AF is really up to date and I think your comments point more or less at the same direction. Regards

I've made a simulation on the italian site and it is also possible!
And I think it is also possible on the french site by clicking on "Itineraire complexe"!

Amazing! You got it! You can now book a "complex" route with AirFrance from the website. Seems pretty new for me, a last week/couple of weeks update, maximum.

Still better than nothing, thanks Airfrance and thanks Icarus75!
