Easyjet LTN-ATH 1st December

Fri Nov 16, 2007 10:06 am

Hi
I am on easyjet LTN-ATH on 1st December EZY2001. It is my wifes birthday and I am taking her to Athens to treat her. I would like to order champagne and organise for the captain to wish her a happy birthday. Is this possible or who do i need to talk to to arrange.

Can you also advise what aircraft type this will be.

Thanks

The aircraft should be a 737-700.
So far this month (Nov 07) it has switching between G-EZJC and G-EZJF on alternating days.

I have no idea about Champagne and Aircraft Captains.

Easyjet and Champagne? Will Cava do?

I'd sneakily buy a bottle of Veuve from Duty Free and sneak it to the dollies once onboard and get them to bring it up.
I hope its an early flight thoigh as EZY run out of ice by noon.

As guys already said it is going to be B737, at the moment it seems like it is G-EZJS.
Unfortunately you can't pre-order it but there is plenty on board so you will be fine, they hardly ever sell out.
About the announcement, ask Senior Cabin Crew to pass it onto Cpt and there shouldn't be a problem. Also my suggestion is that when you board ask guys to put Champagne on ice.

Enjoy your trip.

Have you ever flown easyJet before? Do you know how to read a menu?

Yes - 6 times - I found it most distressing. Each time I read the menu and each time several options were unavailable so alas the menu isnt always an indication of whats available.

I see their latest offering is Nicolas Feuillatte. If you love your wife - treat her to some from Duty Free, or at least pack Gaviscon / PeptoBismol

Nicolas Feuillatte Brut comes from Nicolas Feuillatte Brut Cuvée Tradition series and it is a good champagne. Just one of the reviews: "You pour it out; it’s pale yellow and sparkly – so far so good... stready bubbles catch your eye; nice. You go to catch its aroma – wow! Very floral with hints of elderflower and fraise liqueur. Then you taste – oh my! Where to begin! You get candied peel, lemon and chocolate orange. In a word – Christmas! This Champagne is Christmas pudding and mince pies in a glass. Tuck in.How super that this Champagne exists and what a wonderful world Champagne truly is!"

Oh and don't worry if you have problems with a nice champagne they carry Gaviscon onboard.

Whoever wrote that must also write the Marks and Speners adds: 'This isnt any ordinary Champagne, its Easyjet Champage, served lukewarm from a hanger in Luton, its coloured yellow, has bubbles, and is available to every discerning traveller who has the correct change'

(Search You Tube for 'Pam Ann M&S' for the best M&S advert mickey take)

Champagne is disgusting at any rate! We do carry it and I generally tell the crew to put a couple of bottles on ice in case any is bought- rarely! In most cases its NCE/GVA pax who think they are still up in club or Alki chav's buy it when the wine has run out.

Doubtful, JS isnt a heavyweight long range 737-700 capable of doing the LTN-ATH route, as mentioned above it will more than likely be JC or JF, to be honest id rather have JF  Wink

Take her for a wonderful meal when you get there. better than a tub of pringles (If they have any left) on EZY. Good luck with the Champers but I think you might be out of look. Still if all she can get is a cup of dishwater in a plastic, red hot cup. then make it up to her when you get there.

It looks like it was G-EZJF that (as predicted) did the LTN-ATH EZY2001 today.

G-EZJS doesn't seem to be on "heavy" routes at the moment though.
Seems to be confined to LTN-BSL, LTN-CDG, LTN-SXF, LTN-MAD etc.

While G-EZJC & G-EZJF are sharing the "long range" LTN-ATH and LTN-SAW (Istanbul) routes.

Is JS still a heavy or has it been downrated?
