Lufthansa And The Recently Ordered Regional Jets

Sat Nov 17, 2007 5:17 pm

Hi,
just a quick question. Earlier this year (April) LH ordered 45 jets for their regional fleet which includes 15 CRJ900 and 30 ERJ190.
Are there any news on that order especially about their Embraer order? I'm very excited and want this jet in their fleet as soon as possible. When are these jets due to be delivered?

if there has been no change to the plans which were stated in the media, first deliveries take place in early 2009.

I wonder whether those E-Jets will fly with LH mainline colours or whether they'll go only to regional daughters.

It is also rumored that they will fly for Eurowings and Air Dolimiti as Bae 146 replacement.
Strange is however that on a word document that I have found on the LH website (Future Fleet)
http://konzern.lufthansa.com/de/html...link/archiv_2007/newslink_2007_07/
it is said that LH will get EMB195s not EMB190s. Maybe this is just a typo because Embraer´s homepage and the original LH press release speaks of EMB 190s only. The EMB 195 would be too big as an Avro/Bae146 replacement but would be more of a 737-500 replacement.

They'll probably get E-190 and E-195

Wanna bet ???  Wink
Would be nice, the EMB 195 is the best looking out of the EJet family and although LH livery may not be the most stylish the E195 would be a nice sight. We will go to TXL when the first EJet arrives there  Smile

Sorry so far nobody has answered your question. The first EJet will be delivered in January 2009:

Also does anybody knows more about this:

Again? We should agree on a maximum number of bets.

It really is. I love the RJ livery on it.

The shape is great, not the livery. (Same with the A346).

Of course we will.

At least they have a great tail logo, better than most other airlines. The fuselage could use more color though  Wink

I think we had that bet before  Wink How about 10 as a maximum.

Btw you could be right, if they take all the 50 options the E195s will likely be part of it and will replace the 737-500.
Thank good no awful A318 in LH´s fleet - the ugliest member of the Airbus family.

Now, now. The A318 may be overweight and uneconomical, but it's definitely not ugly. On the contrary, it's the cutest member of the Airbus family.  Smile

A pity that only three Elites were ordered at Dubai 2007.
