One of my good friends worked in the marketing department at Boeing and was heavily involved with that car. It's pretty cool looking. It's just to increse the hype and anticipation for the 787 dreamliner.

Boeing Marketing does a lot of work and does some pretty interesting things to increase brand awareness.

Yes, I'd like to see airbus go under so Boeing can have their customers!

Perhaps we should have a thread that follows this car, ala Peter Max?

Does it have something to do with Mitsubishi's involvement with 787 production? I remember there was a motorcycle in Boeing House colors a while back-was it a Kawasaki?

Too bad the Eclipse is a joke of a sports car - decently quick in a straight line with the V6...but front wheel drive...thumbs down.  vomit

Yeah, I never got into the V6 Eclipse. But its predecessor the GSX, was a beast. I can’t think of a better mass produced affordable four cylinder.

I would love that car. I am not sure about the Boeing logos as much but the paint scheme is great! There are so many logo buses around in transit fleets that one painted in a 787 scheme would be great too.

It's owned by Boeing. They are very particular about their house livery. They would never let someone own a car looking like that.

They should have used a Pontiac Fiero. Plastic car, representing a plastic plane.  duck  j/k
What was it we had for dinner tonight? Well, we had a choice of steak or fish. Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna.

I saw the car on display at the "Future of Flight" museum at the Boeing factory in Everett. It's worth a look if you're in town. Plus the 787 line is on the tour now I believe...

I saw it there too.

I (sadly) went to the plant just before the big bits of the dreamliner started arriving, and indeed it is the 777 and 787 lines that are now on the tour.

Yes, right now the major show is the LA Auto show running all this week. Always world debuts of some models, as well as "North American" debuts of foreign cars. I'm going wednesday.

Yes the new tour observation deck is between the 777 and 787 final assembly lines and offers good views of both of them. I had the opportunity to go up there shortly after the 787 rollout, which was fun. You do get a good view from there, although the view is always better if you can get closer.
