AI used to do it way back in the 70's....I remember flying on an AI 707 back then, around Christmas time and there were decorations in the First cabin, at least....I was too small to go wandering back to see if the Y cabin was decorated... smile

I just flew Lufthansa intra-Deutschland. They had very nice wreaths on the front bulkheads.

When I was a kid, UA had a hub at CLE. I was on a flight the was a 747 from CLE to LAX. UA had a Santa Claus on board and gave all the kids little presents.

On a funny note, in the original movie, Turbulence, the entire interior of the plane was decorated with holly and lights. Do you think the FAA approved the use of standard holiday lighting?

AA had decorations when I flew them like 2 years ago. This was on a Super 80. It might not have been a company wide thing, maybe just some cheerful F/A's.

I remember Bangkok Airways had decorations in their ATR72 when I flew them early 2006. Their 717 and A320 didn't, but maybe that was because it was already later in january by then...

I used to fly KL, LH and AC frequently during Christmas time and they all used to dress up their cabins for the holidays.

When I was on TG and Nok Air two years ago, they both were playing Christmas music in the planes as their "welcome music". My sister and I did not expect to see anything Christmas in SE Asia so we thought it was hilarious.

LOT tried them on the outside, but gave up after 10 years because they kept coming off in flight.  duck

OS used to attach small spruce wreaths to the cabin sidewalls every 5 rows or so during December on their MD-80s during the 90s

not having flown them during Christmas since then I don't know about now!

We were decorating some of our aircraft today as well as the offices! (At NZ). It gets everyone in the Christmas spirit! Gotta love trying to decorate a 733 in 8mins with 3 cabin crew and 2 CSA's. Luckily they come back so quickly that you can finish decorating. (We only do a few).

When I was very young in the early '80s I flew a UA DC-8 charter SXM-ORD on Christmas Eve. The FAs went way over the top with the decorations! The sidewalls, bulkheads and even from the ceiling down the aisle had garlands and wreaths and banners all over the place. They even did the safety announcements based on the "Night Before Christmas" poem! I'll never forget it. All the passengers really loved it and despite the fact we were all flying back to the cold winter weather of Chicago we were all in a real Christmas spirit. On top of that the flight deck crew let me and a couple other kids ride the jumpseats during landing! It was a highlight on one of the best vacations I ever had as a child.
