Delta 767-400 First Flight!

Hi yall! As many of you know, or may not know, today was Delta's 767-400 first flight.. it was ATL-MIA... i was wondering if any of you were there!! I was there   It was so very coooool!!!! I wanted to go so badly.. i would have taken pictures, but my camera's batteries were dead and i only got one before it went out and it has horrible window glare... Well if anyone else got pics, i wanna c 'em!

Not to rain on your parade or anything, but the 764 has been flying on selected revenue flights for over a month now. Today was merely the official "first flight" so that Leo could gratify himself by watching the pomp and circumstance surrounding it.

The 764 has even been involved in a minor incident already. "Ship two", N826MH (msn 29713) was hit by severe turbulence on a flight between TPA and ATL last month. 1 F/A and 8 pax were admitted to South Fulton Medical center for observation.

Well hooray for the maiden flight!!! Even if it was for Leo! I can't wait until the 764 comes to SLC for service to LAX, even though it will replace the tristar.

Living in Orlando, I get to see a lot of 767-400's, They look very nice, and I also got to take a look inside.

today was the first revenue flight for the 764 it has made a few flight but only for training purposes only

I don't understand why Delta didn't put PTV's in the coach of its B764! I mean, its 2000 not 1985!

As an airline you can't just say: "the others also don't have PTV's in coach on domestic routes", you have to be innovative if you want to become your country's leading airline (a goal Delta is commited to).

On a five-hour coast-to-coast flight, I want to be entertained!

Do you think Singapore Airlines got to where they are now by just following others? No.

Anyway, just a thought of mine...

I believe they're gonna have them... I think they're wired for them, and then the ones Delta have yet to receive are already going to have them built in....

Yes, the 764's are wired for PTV's in the back. I went to the factory school at Rockwell Collins in 1999, and my class notes still show the 764 having PTV's throughout the a/c. My guess is that the decision was made not to install the system in the back due to reliability issues. Anyway, DL will be changing all their coach seats here in the next few months anyway.
This plane is built to withstand anything... except a bad pilot.

Not to rain on the parade of the first response, but that ship and it's sibling has been parked outside of my parking lot for about a month. That was the first revenue flight, and once again to rain on your parade that ship wasn't even flying training routes. MIA REVENUE FLIGHTS ARE THE TRAINING ROUTES!!! As were the 777's training routes. I'm not kidding when I tell you I parked my car in front of those ships for one month straight!!!!!
