Looked a little rough out there! I've only flown to
SRQ once but fortunately it was ideal flying weather.
A couple months ago I was flying
YYZ-
YUL with
WS when the 736 I was on was hit with a horrendous windshear on short final. The crew decided against a go-around and we landed safely without further incident. I'm assuming we were below minimum altitude for an aborted landing as indicated by the carrier's SOP. Definitely a "life flashing before my eyes" moment. There were screams and crying children throughout the cabin. I certainly wish I had recorded the event!
Glad to see you arrived safely,
