EY and
MH have been codesharing since 2008 so its not all that surprising that they will now have
FF reciprocal rights. Airlines do this with airlines outside of their own alliance all the time. I suppose
MH's
FF program will get a bit of shake up once it joins oneworld though - we know that the
DJ FF cooperation will end soon and many of the Skyteam partners (DL,
NH,
AZ,
AF) will probably also fall away. The one that remains unclear is KLM - the two airlines have had long standing arragements and they of course entered into a MOU late last year to start
JV-ing on the
AMS -
KUL - Australia routes. The
JV is unlikely to happen now, however the
KL/
MH codeshares could very easily continue a la
QF and
AF.
