AA Finds Jack The Cat 2 Months Later At JFK!

Thu Oct 27, 2011 3:41 am

Cat was located two months after he went missing at JFK. He is going to be flown back to California. I bet AA is gonna keep an extra eye on him this time!

This forum is too old so i couldn't add it on but Jack the cat has been found two months later after alot of searching by AA. He is safe and was sent immediately to a vet. Looks like this has a happy ending   AA and people in the airport kept searching and it paid off in the end thankfully.

Posted this in the other thread: "I hope they find the cat. As they say, it can take weeks. This is because cats are resourceful and "cat food" is plentiful at an airport, w mice and birds everywhere. It takes weeks for a cat to be comfortable enough w it's surroundings to not run at the sight of a person it doesn't know. They can go days without water and food when hiding, so even spotting the cat is unlikely."

As a cat owner, this was how I thought it would play out. They are very resourceful animals and very skittish until they become comfortable in their new surroundings. But eventually, if not squished by a car or trapped in something where they starve/overheat, they will be found.

Everywhere has ferral cat populations. Even high numbers of wild predators like coyotes can't keep them from being around. A place like JFK with little actively hunting for them.... going to be like tribbles.
