Chanages To Ops And Procedures At YYZ And Others

Wed Nov 30, 2011 2:26 am

Supposedly to handle increase in traffic NAVCAN has implemented the most substantive changes to ops around YYZ in last 30 years. I have only seen a summary from their webapge and news media reports but it sounds like this will give ATC and airlines some greater chcoices for approaches and departure procedures. It would be interesting to hear what these new regulations actually mean to YYZ ops from anyone that may know.

the link does work, but you need to add backslashes between Files and Airspace, between Airspace and Toronto and between Toronto and default,

when copying (or typing) the link, the backslashes are being removed...

I am by know means "in the know", but it seems this is going to streamline arrivals and departures, and make them more efficient, especially in adding a new arrival route from the east and improve overall traffic flow. Also, these procedures should help to reduce CO2 emissions as aircraft get on the ground quicker.

Also, the maps on this site were very detailed and I could actually find the arrival routes that pass over my house. Thanks for posting!

No problem, I wish this was not such a finicky link to post into the forum hopefully it is there now.

You mentioned a new routing from the east, is that a new eastern arrival/final approach that is different from the stadard patterns we see now?
