I only flew on FL once after they installed XM and I rather enjoyed it as the time it gave me a chance to listen to the satellite radio competition at the time (I've been a Sirius subscriber for several years now.) and it was definitely nicer than the canned audio on other airlines (Even the music library on the Delta On Demand system.). In some respects, it's not a huge loss since there are services like Pandora that one can access via the onboard WiFi as well as if you are a SiriusXM subscriber and have the online subscription you can listen to it that way.
It's too bad that the concept hasn't gone over as well as it should have. AirTran and JetBlue (As well as ExpressJet) have been the only carriers to offer this service (other airlines have had prerecorded XM content on their a/c) and it really should have been a more successful product.
