Earlier today, Saudi private airliner made an emergency landing at KHI airport. Link below.

The article mentions problems with the landing gear and judging from the photo provided, it looks like the nose gear collapsed. The article also mentions that the plane was flying from UET (Quetta, Pakistan) to TUU (Tabuk, Saudi Arabia).
What I find strange is that why would an aircraft having problems with its gear retracting would continue all the way to KHI and not go back to UET? UET is approx. 320nm from KHI.
Also, it is unclear from the picture which airline is involved. I believe it must be a charter as there are no scheduled direct flights between the two airports. The aircraft looks like an MD-80 to me.
Anyone with more info please shed light on this. Which airline and aircraft type was involved. Who/What was it carrying?

Lots of things i do not understand here.
The plane was flying from Tabook Saudi Arabia to UET that is a long way to find an airport for an emergency landing. Why not JED, RUH, DAMMAM?
A Private Saudi Airline? Never knew they exist.
A Saudi private MD80 search the web for one could not find the registration.

Yes, things do not seem to add up here. Its quite possible the media has got it all wrong. I cannot find any more info about this incident.

AMC is an Egyptian Charter Operator.

As per the video, the nose wheel failed to retract before landing at UET. The aircraft was then diverted to KHI where it made an emergency landing with its nose gear still up. The aircraft was chartered by the Governer of Tabuk and was carrying his hunting gear as well as 72 passengers.
Also, the video mentions that the aircraft belongs to Saudi Airlines, which in fact is not true. The aircraft belongs to AMC Airlines, an Egyptian charter operator.

Just curious, there's a Jet Blue a/c parked at the terminal in the video. Any lease/mission info to explain its presence at KHI?

Way too many incidents for this airline and especially with their MDs. They had one in Istanbul and one in Khartoum not so long ago. That's number three in the past 5 years. Not good.

I suspect they choose KHI over UET for possibility of using maintenance at the airport?

nice video zainmax............the a/c seemed to stop quite quickly as well which was a good thing. The fact that they have had 3in the last 5 years is a bad thing ( as per info from RJAF)
