Has any one seen any pictures of the three Silver Airways B1900D's that are shown as rebranded. Silver told me their agreement with UA would not require them to paint them in UA Express Colors. Are they in UA Express (Globe) or the new Silver scheme? Surely someone has seen them. Thanks.

Just noticed that N648UA, one of the PMUA international 763s is scheduled to reenter service on monday after appearing inactive since 4/15 (per flightaware). Was it in for repainting or just maintenance? Seems like the IPTE 763s went on paint hiatus for quite a while...

Thanks for all of the updates. I am flying on a 764 next month IAH-CDG and I'm wondering which configuration I will get?

It's hard to tell because aircraft swaps do happen but with I believe 7 764s completed, and 1 in the shop undergoing conversion now, I'd say your chances of getting a Flatbed 764 are pretty good! Emjoy your flight!

They have some in both the globe scheme and house colors.

None of the B1900Ds are in the Silver livery. There's one that is in the old Gulfstream livery but it now says United Express. All the others are in the Globe scheme. All the Saabs are in Silver colors.

Does anyone know if 13624 is exiting the fleet?
It was the only 735 that could have ferried IAH-HOU as flight 9912/02 May.

It is showing that it is getting E+ in HOU, ETR 09 May.

3624 is back in service. Ferried HOU-IAH 5/5. Seat maps do not show E+. Rather doubt they could do an STC for E+ in 3+ days, but maybe the seat maps are wrong.

However, another 753, looks like 3619, ferried IAH-HOU 5/5.

73G
Would expect 0703 and 0711 to come out of MCO with E+ - now in C checks.
Looks like 0714 would be next - shows MCO RON 5/7.

Most of the Express aircraft have not been repainted. Does anyone know, are the Express carriers required to rebrand the aircraft by a deadline, or are they required to rebrand the aircraft at all? Does UA pay the cost, or is that an Express carrier responsibility? Or, do they share the cost?

Did UA even need a E+ STC for the 735? Wouldn't the old one work from the sUA implementation of E+ a bunch of years back?

EDIT:

In retrospect, I don't think they would be able to, as the -524s have a different galley/lav configuration than the old -522s, but I would be interested to know why they were able to accomplish this mod so quickly, if at all.

No AVOD, no LiveTV, no power ports. Just take out one row of coach and repitch forward of the overwing exits, is a guess.

Now I see why. On UA.com, the seat map shows row 14 and looks just like the regular 735 map.
On UA mobile, it shows dashes on row 14. So, it is 8/100 E+.
UA will have to update their UA.com site to show the 735 seat map; in the aircraft section as well as maps for flights.

Quoting azstar (Reply 210):
Most of the Express aircraft have not been repainted. Does anyone know, are the Express carriers required to rebrand the aircraft by a deadline, or are they required to rebrand the aircraft at all? Does UA pay the cost, or is that an Express carrier responsibility? Or, do they share the cost?

I wouldn't say "most" aren't painted. I'm not sure who's responsible for the cost, but they're clearly prioritizing getting the United name on every plane asap so the old UAX will be the last ones done just like Delta is only just now close to finishing.
I don't know the deal with each individual express carrier, but with regard to Expressjet, it's obvious they're going to finish all of the 200 some CO ERJs before they start the 20 some that are in PMUA colors, and then they still have the 20 some CRJs afer that, although they might start those now since they've finished up their DL repaints.

Spotted SIlver Aiways N17541 in United Express titles in FLL today. All the 1900Ds i've seen today at FLL have had United Express titles on them but I haven't had a pen to take down registrations!

Is there a list of which Q-400's have the first class seats?

I know they are exiting the fleet over the next few months, but I am trying to keep track of this info. It appears only 2 of the aircraft have theses seats.

I figured out that N213WQ, N332NG, N333NG, N351NG, N354NG have not flown in quite a while anywhere from one week to six weeks.

While not directly aircraft related, but following an agreement to ALPA to expand the transition agreement, the s-UA side will be opening both a A320 and 767 pilot domicile in Houston.
The base will open with about 125 crew members in time for the September bid.

Clear indication of the direction of future fleet deployment.

Very interesting, so we are going to see more 763 flying out of IAH. My guess is CDG, EZE, and GRU first to replace the 762. I'd like to see IAH-OGG come back as well. Hub - hub?

What transition agreements are currently in place? e.g., which pre-merger sUA bases have cCO crews now based and vice-versa?

Does this hold true for Inflight as well, or just pilots?

Base is for pilots only.
In February the company and ALPA ratified modifications to the original July 2010 transition agreement.

753 E+
Besides wondering about the start of conversion, looking at seat maps, the 753 could have 78 E+ seats, or 41.9% of all Y seats. I bring this up because previously, someone on Anet stated E+ would be only 39 seats, which doesn't seems possible to make work on the seat map.

39 E+ would be the lowest percentage of narrowbodies while 78 E+ would be the highest percentage of all narrowbodied aircraft, (most aircraft configurations are in the 35% range). The 753 at 78 E+ seats would have about 35 pitch with one row removed in front of the exits.
However, my thought is if UA has ever considered having E+ on only one side of the aircraft. With the 753, if the left side were chosen, they would have 30 E+ seats at 35 inch pitch - plus the 24 bulkhead/exit row seats already shown as E+ on the seat map for a total of 54 E+ seats. This would hasten installation while retaining 3 seats and have a E+ percentage of 30%, which may be more in line with services to Hawaii.

I feel like they wouldn't do this if only for a product consistency standpoint (that said, it does not seem that UA cares much about consistency these days besides paint).

I wouldn't be surprised as the UA Fleet Plan has 3 767s leaving the fleet in the 2nd quarter. That would take the entire 767 fleet to 56. Now the 767 fleet is 58 with 7 being 762s. If the fleet plan is correct, then the 762 fleet would go down to 5 by July.

Does this mean that 3158 is leaving the fleet?

Sadly, yes. Really going to miss that cabin and seating arrangement. Walked through the interior, and she is in great shape. Couple of carpet pieces could use cleaning. MX757 and I then brought her over to the North Hangar. She is a beauty.

Broke Back Robin and I just taxied 158 to the South Hangar so she could go into the wash rack. Don't know why we didn't just take her there earlier.
Is it broke...? Yeah I'll fix it.

Have they slowed (stopped?) the pace of reconfiguring the PMUA 777s? There hasn't been a new one since March 27 -- a month and a half ago.

Ok I have asked this before and nobody has answered this before, so I am going to keep asking

Has there been any news about the airbus updates? Are they not going to receive the updates because UA is looking at a large aircraft order possibly? This is the only solution I have come up with.

Does anybody have any information?

Thanks!

The inflight safety video (as of May 11) still has Smisek saying the airbus bin upgrades are going to happen, so I imagine they will start in the fall. The E+ reconfiguration should be done on all the 737s and 757s by then, and the peak flying season will have passed.

73G E+
3711 to Exit MCO Flight 15/15 May with E+ map
3703 not showing MCO exit, but must have E+ after C check as was paralleled with 3711

Can't confirm E+ for 3716 in MCO since 5/12 - no exit yet.
Looks like 3704 will take the place of 3711 15 May.

738
3531 (Sky) is sked to exit MCO with DTV Flight 1526/14 May. Seat maps still showing non E+, but was to be E+ STC aircraft. If 3531 is E+, would expect 3528 and 3530 to enter MCO soon.
