Saudia Skyteam Logo Plane - Logo Backwards?

Isn't the Skyteam logo on the back of the plane backwards? The one on the tail is correct.

It would certainly appear so as the DL B763 photo shows the Skyteam logo on the fuselage is painted correctly!

Indeed...as Arabic is read from right to left

either that or Iberia MTC decided to show what they really think about Skyteam.

Strange also that this Skyteam aircraft uses "Saudia" titles instead of the "Saudi Arabian Airlines" ones found on the rest of the fleet.

Indeed. I actually think "Saudia" is better as a logo than "Saudi Arabian Airlines". Just my opinion.

That is why you don't let a oneworld company paint your plane. I wish they had painted one of their 777's or 330's.

More importantly, I hope DL opens up mileage earning opportunities on SV. Even though I will probably never fly them, I think it is ridiculous.

And they go and paint their most recently delivered aircraft which has only been in service a little over four months! Couldn't they have painted one of their aircraft coming up for a C or D check at least? Why this one?

I am 99% sure that I have read somewhere - but where I cannot recall - that there has been an official rebrand and 'Saudia' is the new [or should I say revived] styling for the airline.

Probably read it today on the Iberia Maintenance website!

I have to say, I think the SkyTeam logo jets look really good, one of the best liveries out there IMO.

Yeah, and the logo on the tail of the same airplane is different. "Here's your sign" I bet one of the guys who painted it realized it and didn't have the stones to say something before they finished.

It is also curious that there are only two over-wing exits, instead of the usual four. You can see that the forward two have been disabled.

Is this a corporate or state aircraft?

Nope, it is a regular passenger aircraft. They don't need the extra exits as the seating density is low. SV have configurations with 144 and 116 seats on the A320.

How often does this kind of mistake happen? Anyone know any other memorable stuff ups? I do seem to remember Monarch recently had an A320 painted in the wrong shade of colour.

I can't point to a source either, but I know I have very recently read the same thing about their (re-)rebranding to "Saudia." So I highly doubt that the use of the Saudia name was an error.

The forward overwing exit is deactivated, so it doesn't have the required outline.

Skyteam has a tendency to show up backwards. AeroMexico's Skyteam logo planes, at least the 767, was and, I guess is, the first ever plane on the fleet to display the Aztec eagle-knight facing backwards on its port side. Any chance it was Oneworld's Mexicana MRO who did the "job"?

Why, is it really that much of a problem? Hardly anyone will notice the difference, so I don't think fixing it needs to be a priority.

Yesssss!!!!! I used to love seeing the old green, blue and white planes with the Saudia logo. The name itself is just so much easier to say and more stylish than Saudi Arabian Airlines.
