Easyjet On The Dark Knight Rises?
I had the chance to attend an IMAX screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" over the weekend. One of the sequences, may be 2/3 into the movie involves an airport scene. Selina Kyles (AKA Catwoman) is departing Gotham city. She walks past a Delta desk. Then in a very short and fast paced panning of the camera along the waiting room I spotted across the terminal glass structures what it appeared to be an aircraft tailfin with an easyJet logo. As I said the shot was really short and speedy so there was no time for me to double check before the next shot came along. Any other a.netters here who have managed to spot this goof? The right topic for that strain of a.netters who are both Film Geeks and aircraft spotters

IIRC, "Gotham City Airport" is actually STN, which is why you see U2 and FR planes on the tarmac.

I remember in the first Daniel Craig Bond film; Casino Royale, there's a scene with a chase sequence set at MIA airport. It's clearly been shot at PRG though, with all the Travel Service and CSA aircraft around.

According to IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/locations), the location is actually INV - which would explain the easyJet aircraft, though I wasn't aware DL flew there!

That was "Product Placement". PRG played for MIA but also Virgin placed its product there, same way as Omega places a watch and a piece of dialog, and Aston Martin lends a full fleet of DSB just for publicity. Conversely this is a goof. It was not supossed to be there in the first place. This logo tailgin escaped the chop during edition and for whatever reason it was not deleted digitally either. In cinema jargon is called a "revealing mistake".

No. The Inverness sequence is the opening flying sequence. You can see the Highlands and the North Sea in the background. The ground sequence of the same opening was filmed in former RAF Cardington East of Cranfield Airport EGTC. Cardington was a former Royal Air Force airship hangars base. They can be seen when the Jetstream(?) is parked in the middle of the countryside. The IMDB has not been updated with the Stanted entry... (yet)

Took down the regs of both the EMB 110 and C130 (N121TG) during the movie, true av geek style.

Indeed there were some scenes filmed at STN. I narrowly missed out on helping on the day (I work in Ops there) but I couldn't make it...gutted.
United 93 was also filmed there. The security post was filmed just before the domestic link bridge to Sat 2.

Delta's definitely Product Placement; easyJet's just a free ride. The Dark Knight was mostly shot in Chicago. The Dark Knight Rises was mainly New York or Pittsburgh. It may be the case that being Gotham New York's alter ego Delta thought it appropriate to appear as NYC de facto airline. There is a parallel tread on a.net mentioning AA role in The Bourne Legacy

I missed on those but considering that Stansted is Ryanair main base it is most than likely that is the case.

Can in theory a C130 pull a Bandeirantes like that? Obviously increased drag would disintegrate the Bandeirantes fuselage but the full stunt... would it be feasible?

I saw it last night and I must admit, the same question popped into my head also.
I loved the "flutter" effect on the tail plane and wings... exactly as one would expect.
My gut tells me the sudden drag would cause big problems for the Herc, to say nothing of the sudden extreme aft of CG weight shift.

The Hercules semt quite steady with the extra drag and weight. I know the Bandeirante was a CGI
Was not this the same Hercules that pulled the harness of the Cape Crusader away from one of Hong Kong towers in The Dark Knight. The stunt looks closely similar
