King Air Fatal Crash Brazil

Sun Jul 29, 2012 1:10 am

I have searched for this but cant find any comment on the forum. The main news site in Brazil has reported the fatal crash of a King Air flight in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil. There were eight deaths including several from the same company. Reports are stating the plane was PR-DOC and it seems weather was to blame, with the pilot having been advised that landing conditns were not favourable. May those involved rest in peace

RIP all who passed away.
It bothers me a lot when a pilot is advised that weather conditions are not favorable for a landing but still he goes ahead and try.
Reminds me of the crash of the plane with the president of Poland on board.

Couldn't agree more with you. However, sometimes those pilots are under pressure from their employers.

At least eight persons died in the accident, including the pilot, copilot, company president Domingos Costa, vice president of sales and marketing Cesar Tavares, and several directors. The officials were attending a business convention organized by the Federation of Industries of Minas Gerais.

Maybe especially so in this case with a lot of company leaders onboard.

Very sad. My condolences to all those involved.
Promise me you'll always leave the ground
