Hey guys, I was looking through Aeroflot's youtube channel and saw that they posted a video of their boeing 77W cabin interior with Premium Economy. The colours seem interesting what do you guys think?

Interesting all right!
I like yellow, but it seems a bit too much, especially on Premium Economy with the white.
Still a nice looking plane and product.

Thanks for this. I just had a thread going, recently, on the status of Aeroflot's 77Ws.
One thing's for sure... the Aeroflot 77Ws are going to be some of the most spectacular 777s, ever, with that beautiful titanium grey metallic paint! The inside of the plane is quite colorful and different. First is kind of nice, but it's only on-par with J in other Asian and even European airlines. The colors are funky but nice. Now, is that Business Class or Premium Economy? I'm seeing a very comfortable-looking eight abreast, so I'm hoping its Y+. It doesn't appear that the seats are lie flat, so I think it's Y+. If so, I am in love! That looks like the most superior eight abreast I've ever seen. Economy is 3+4+3. I guess that's not a surprise. Doesn't look too shabby. Nice bird, Aeroflot!

I assume the 8-across was economy+ and that basic economy is, sadly, 10-across?

The J class is exactly like Business First on Continental with the seats at an angle. Y+ is 8 seats per row and the Y is 10 per row.

Totally agree with you; this will be an impressive looking bird for sure. Think that business looks quite good, but I'm most impressed with Economy+. That is the most/best modern-looking Y+ I've seen too date. I hope it comes to fruition and would love to see them come to New York.

That is gonna be one hell of a plane! It's amazing that I didn't even know SU had these planes on order last week and now they're all over the threads. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the SU colorscheme, but on the SU the colors are absolutely perfect! Cannot wait to see it when it makes its way to JFK.

I could not agree with you more! I love their colours.
I do have to admit, I am not of fan of the Y 3+4+3 layout on the 777, but they seem to have made it work.
Any idea when the first enters service?

There's a thread on here where someone found that their flight to New York/JFK in Spring 2013, will be flown by Aeroflot's new 77Ws. Aeroflot should begin taking deliveries between February-March I'm suspecting.

Because it's not First class? Aeroflot don't offer First class, only Business class.

The Y+ seats don't look that comfortable- they seem really hard.
Also, when the aisle passenger reclines their seat in J, it looks like its impossible for the window seat passenger to get into the aisle?
I like the bright and airy colours however but don't feel the interior design is that spectacular- it looks functional and somewhat austere.

Not impossible, but it would require some dexterity and social grace. Personally, I try to avoid window seats like that in business class, where people can sleep for hours. Carriers that have aisle access for everyone in business are at an advantage, but sometimes those seats seem too narrow. The advantage of this style is that the seats don't seem as narrow, although that could just be my perception.
In the meantime, aren't the premium economy seats like those on AF? They do look hard compared to business, but it's a huge step up from economy. I think the different colors are refreshing; I think the orange might even look good at night. Much better than the static blue of many carriers.

This Business Class is the same model as the CA B77W Business Class. Very Comfortable.
Are they the seats where there is a fixed shell, and the back slides up and down, rather than the whole seat reclines? Horrible seats they are!

They are. And they suck.

The J class seats are the same seats UA has in their business first cabin . And the same seats AA is installing in their Transcontinental A321's .

Yes it is the B/E Aerospace Diamond seat. It's exactly the same as the one on UA/CO, however the electrical power is different and there is different seat fabric.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

It seems BKK/HKT are the first international destinations and and later flights will go to JFK. I think NRT/ICN/PEK and HKG are also good candidates for the 77W from SU. Probably later also to LAX.

Many people have complained of the AF Y+ seats. A couple of trip reports contain harsh criticism. It is a pity.
I suppose airlines are telling us "deal with it!" re: the 3-4-3 config in Y on 777s.

J seats are about the same as those of Air China longhaul J.
Y+ seats are very close to those of AF.

They are. Air China, like United (CO) uses the B/E Aerospace Diamond seat.

Premium Y looks just like that on AF which is awful when trying to rest. I slept better with more recline in Y class on the outbound journey with 10 seats across!
Apart from that, at least there's some colour! Getting bored of navy and grey on aircraft.

I like business and PE. And I like the color scheme generally - Americans are getting REALLY boring with their (our) color choices lately, not just in airlines but in cars, electronics, you name it. We're completely afraid of a little color in anything, unless it's a medium blue (not too bright!). (We didn't used to be this way, all you Americans complaining about these colors!) So I applaud Aeroflot for introducing a little orange into the scheme.
The economy section does look cheap, though, for whatever reason. I think it's just underdesigned. The colors are the same so there's no reason it couldn't look as good as business, but they obviously just slapped one color on top and the other on the bottom and called it done. It needs more.

Wow, I too am impressed by the Aeroflot's hubris. This definitely does seem like a kick back to the 70s. Quite a daring color scheme in my opinion, which I look forward to seeing in person/in pictures.
The exterior, which already looks amazing, is absolutely incredible on the 77W.

I don't like that it's 70's colours gives u a huge flashback, back to bad taste in colouring. But business and premium looks nice, almost LH like i the business colours. Seems the Business Class seats will go fully flat ? But the premium better be reviewed by someone outhere. So we know if they are worth the extra bug
