Ryanair, Worst PR Job Open To Offers.

Fri Dec 21, 2012 5:53 pm

Well the boss has said it himself.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...k-Ryanair-admits-worst-job-PR.html

In a statement announcing Mr McNamara's departure to the Irish Rugby Union, Mr O’Leary said: 'We look forward to recruiting another brave soul to take on the worst job in Irish PR and look forward to grooming the next candidate to take over the high profile and incredibly overpaid position.

Now I don't want to see any A.netters stepping forward.

I think half the time you open the door for people to come in...

I did like this bit and the cheek of it.

They need somebody to tell their "stupid" customers to "bugger off" when MOL is busy. I think they need someone that is tactless, offensive, good at insulting people and that always thinks that they are right and everyone else is wrong.
I think I've found the perfect candidate, I reckon she'd also make a good Ryanair gate agent:

Pick me, MOL! As long as I don't have to actually travel with Ryanair, it's fine!

Though maybe he should get Bill O'Reilly... and call FR PR a "no-spin zone" even though there's a lot of spin!

The bottom line is that if you want an air bus service to get you from A-B, usually on time, and normally without losing your bags, then FR ticks all the boxes. If you read all the small print and in particular the rules regarding carry on and hold luggage, then you cannot go wrong. Everyone bemoans them as far a PAX are concerned but they run a tight, profitable ship, and as long as you are not looking for a 'special' experience, you will get what you pay for.
A journey on a train in the UK is far worse, and you won't so far for your money either!
FR are not everyone's cup of tea, but they do fit the bill for those who treat it as purely a flying bus service.

Isn't this actually the easiest job in PR? There's no facade and no pretence with Ryanair.

Exactly! It's the easiest job ever. You dont entertain any complaint, in fact you use them to generate PR, and them simply repeat one of the stock FR lines.
