CargoJet B767-200F Arriving From Warsaw

Sun Jan 13, 2013 10:10 pm

I just noticed that CJT7911 flight west of YOW coming from WAW and heading to YHM.

I always thought that CargoJet was a domestic airline. But now, I see that flight arriving from Central Europe. What are they transporting between YHM and WAW ? Thanks

Since a few years they're operating that route on behalf of LOT Cargo.

The plane is routed YHM-YHZ-BRU with general cargo and seafood, empty leg to WAW and then WAW-YHM on behalf of LOT Cargo.

As far as international ops are concerned, CargoJet also flies EWR-BDA with a 727 several times weekly.

I was dropping some freight off in YHM last spring and they had a load of goats I think it was getting on the plane going over to WAW.

They have fuel stopped at PIK many a time as LO7912.

W8 has as well a weekly flight from CGN to YQM and YHM with B76F.

Interesting to see how they are operating on several international niche markets. Apparently, before serving WAW the flight operated out of KTW.

The EWR-BDA service appears in their timetable but not the lobster flight to CGN which leads me to think it's some sort of charter operation.

They had. That is no longer the case. The loads out of YQM weren't strong enough to sustain the flight.

You are confusing two different Cargojet runs.

One is YHM-YHZ-BRU-CGN-YHM. This has nothing to do with LOT Cargo.

The other is ORD-YHM-WAW-ORD (this one involves LOT)

Obviously fuel stops do happen, namely in PIK and YYR.

Both services i mentioned above operate once a week each.

You are absolutely right! How I made that mistake, I do not know. I should have realized BRU-WAW wasn't the short hop I knew they were making. Sincere apologies for the misinformation.

Speaking of the BDA run, I've always wondered, does the plane RON in EWR or does it fly at night? I suppose it could do a transborder run for UPS or FedEx.

Thanks for the link, I completely missed that one. It's interesting because the day I noticed the flight it first landed at YHM before continuing to ORD. Might have been the en-route fuel stop.
