Enerjet (Canada) Seeks US Scheduled 737 Service

Mon Jan 14, 2013 5:06 pm

Alberta Inc. dba as enerjet is seeking US DOT foreign air carrier permit and authority to engage in scheduled service between Canada and the United States.

Enerjet which previously has operated on-demand charters to the US now seeks to initially conduct scheduled air service between airports in Alberta (YYC, YEG and YMM) to points in the US including Las Vegas and Laughlin Nevada.
Later stages of operations could see additional scheduled service points added in Arizona, California, Florida and New Jersey.

Enerjet would utilize its fleet of 149 seat 737NG aircraft on the proposed US services.

RE: Enerjet (Canada) Seeks US Scheduled 737 Service

A few weeks back there was an article in the Calgary Herald about how they had some guys down in the States trying to drum up some investment money to start going to scheduled services.

They are quite busy right now with all the oil and gas charter flying, but they have done a few special holiday (Thanksgiving and Christmas) passenger flights from YYC to YVR (and maybe another destination, can't quite remember), obviously testing the waters for scheduled services.

They did Christmas YYC-YLW.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.

Correct. I missed one when checking the Canadian aircraft registry. Their legal name is 1263343 Alberta Inc.

Not sure about that, at one point over the last few years they only had on 737 to their name (after having 3 or 4), so most assumed they were done for. Now they are back on the scene and added the 2 other 737's to their fleet. So things may be looking up for them.

Of course this is all just guesswork on my part.

They might fare decently on the YEG-LAS route seeing as WS is the only airline on the route and operate two flights a day, one at 6:30 am and one at 4:30 pm. I have some friends in YEG that go to Vegas several times a year and usually avoid the early morning nonstop and end up flying YEG-YYC-LAS or YEG-YVR-LAS on either WS or AC but take the evening nonstop back.
