It may not be good for me and my career to post this pic ahead of the unveiling. I will however describe what I see. The tail has red white and blue. The leading edge of the tail has wide blue stripes while the back part of the tail has smaller red stripes. All the stripes are going horizontally. It will be interesting to the entire aircraft!

After all the waiting, anticipation, guessing, and almost 1000 (?) posts here on A.net, this livery better be good.

If there are two aircraft already painted in the new livery, AA sure did a good job in keeping it under wraps!

I have not seen the logo and as far as I can see, there is no logo on the tail.

I think there may have been a glitch when I click an internal link and the tail appeared. I took a screen shot of it but I just don't feel it wise for me to post that pic here!

Hmm, horizontal stripes converges nicely with US's motif

Yes red white and blue stripes! I will hold judgement until I see the entire aircraft!

Although looking at it more and more I have to say I think I like it. It's very American!

If that is the new logo, and it looks like it is, I'm pleasantly surprised. I don't hate it. I actually like it. While I am sad to see the eagle go, I am happy they at least kept both the red and blue colors.

Well they still have a very stylized eagle head with the white part (and gap between that and the blue), although it kind of reminds me of the USPS logo (without actually taking a close look at that logo). I really like it as well though.

The white looks like either a bent winglet or a pull tab of some sort. If the logo posted is for an aircraft heading to the right, the white portion appears to be bending against the wind, not with it. if you drop a line through the middle, don;t you mostly get the UA stars and bars stripe on the tail??

well, the eagle beak is still there and that's just the logo.. it may still be on the plane.. but let's hope that it's a little more exciting.. I mean, I like it and all but I would like to see a bold new statement that's classy and contemporary..

More of its head than just the beak. The more I look at it the more I like it. In addition to just a stylized eagle head profile it kind of looks like an eagle with its head turned back (with the red being the body and the different red shades helping to give it definition).
