BMI Regional To Start BHX - GOT/LYS/TLS

Great to see them expanding, the new routes start in May.

GOT is an interesting choice, I suppose there is still a gap to fill after City Airline / Skyways collapsed:

Strange that BMIR and BE both announced BHX-LYS simultaneously, literally on the same day I think. I don't think there is room for both in the long run.

GOT is an interesting choice, but it previously relied on Automotive industry traffic with Volvo and had poor loads with Skyways/ City.

TLS is a no-brainer however, being currently unserved.

Call me cynical, but in the current economic climate, I simply can not make a good business case for a stand alone European operator, with tiny 45 seat jets operating niche routes from secondary and regional cities in the UK.

It just doesn't look good, and I can't see them lasting.

Well, I for one hope the local business and travel industry community at both ends support these services. I'm sure it'll be use it, or loose it.

They will end their ABZ-GRQ flights as per February 8th.
