Did anyone notice the tail number on the 757? N0427ZZ? Did they add a number to the registration?

I did a search on the registration and the FAA was telling me this was an invalid N number? Is this a fake plane?

I cant figure that out... why make all the computer generated schemes unless they arent going to paint anything until the whole US thing pans out? I guess its over my paygrade.

Our ads have definitely been lacking since the one several years ago with the wings moving back and forth because there was "More Room In Coach" and everyone was crossing and uncrossing their legs. Would love to see that one again if anyone has a link.

Because the 773 wasn't yet painted in the new livery when this commercial came out, therefore there's definitely no suitable replacement video. The fact that a CGI 773 was used in the commercial has absolutely nothing to do with a US/AA merger. It has to do with the fact that there physically wasn't a 773 in the new colors.

It was not fake. It was an actual AA 757 N670AA that was retired and parked at ROW. It was painted into the new colors and probably painted over after they looked at it. There is probably and all grey 757 parked at ROW now is my guess. If you watch further in the rebranding video you will see an image of a brochure which shows the 757 out of the hanger in full paint at ROW

At 47 seconds you will see the 757 in the hanger and can make out the original reg number plus notice that the stripes are blue white and blue just the way AA paints retired aircraft

Bad! Thats shocking! Same company I wonder? Different tagline, and American scenery but too close for comfort. Have the Qantas adds ever been shown overseas or were they for domestic usage only?

They're trying to do very different things (the AA version is all about the brand while QF deliberately stripped out everything except the small logo at the end) but you're absolutely right. Talk about a lack of creativity.

I think the concept works way better for AA though.
