Apparently last night a (1-3-13) a vehicle of some sort hit a cargo aircraft on the ramp at
SLC. Does anyone have more information?

According to KSL.com (Salt Lake City), it was a private a/c, which would mean it was on the other side of the field from the terminal or the cargo area.

However, the Salt Lake Tribune states that it was a "cargo" plane.

I guess it was a TAC Air
GSE fuel truck going nearly 50 mph.. Appears it hit an Ameriflight Metro III. Rumors at this point though, I have no official source.

I would guess that this guy is probably out of a job. I don't see much reason for going 50mph on the ramp, no matter which side of the field it's on.

I would certainly hope he is. Most of those trucks are supposed to have governors as well.

Many ramp personnel, early on, learn how to disable the governors.
