I believe MIA went from T3 prior to T5 opening. Might be wrong though.

Granted I have only taken one Mixed Fleet flight (HND-LHR), but I found the experience below what I have come to expect of BA. The crew was perfectly polite and efficient, however they did not have the charm or character that BA crews normally have. The Mixed Fleet crew reminded me of a Middle Eastern carrier - attentive and polite but sterile. The outbound flight LHR-NRT was excellent - one of best I've been on. The local Japanese crew were exceptional - as always - whilst the British crew were attentive and talkative.

On the HND-LHR flight I took at least 3 of the crew looked like they were in their 50s.

As a novice in the debate could I ask how Mr Average spots mixed fleet crew as opposed to legacy - do they have pointy heads or something?
Surely as in most lines of customer service businesses the level of service is as much to do with individual attitudes as opposed to an emplyees official designation. To pronounce a whole class of employee as being inept/incompetent/fabulously wonderful is to me an irrational statement.
